T2202 (formerly T2202A) Tuition and Enrolment Certificate
T2202's are tuition tax receipts issued to students aged 16 years and older studying at designated educational institutions in Canada, and having paid more than $100 in eligible tuition fees and applicable mandatory fees for qualifying courses in the previous calendar year (January-December). The forms show the amount of tuition and applicable fees paid during a tax year that are eligible to claim on the income tax return.

A student is also considered a full-time student if they were enrolled in a qualifying educational program and one of the following situations apply:
- you attended part-time and are eligible for the disability tax credit for the year
- you attended part-time and had, in the year, a mental or physical impairment certified in a letter by a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, optometrist, audiologist, occupational therapist, psychologist, physiotherapist, or speech language pathologist, but not eligible for the disability tax credit.

Form 1098-T
É«¿âTV does not issue Form 1098-T. As a Canadian institution, É«¿âTV only provides Canadian federal tax receipts - T2202 Tuition and Enrolment Certificate. For US tax filing, please use the T2202 form.
Continuing Studies Students
Continuing Studies students who only registered in a course/courses where the duration was less than 3 consecutive weeks will not be eligible for a T2202.
Students in the Teens programs who were under 16 years old at the end of the previous calendar year will not be eligible for a T2202 that year.

Check and Update Your Address
The active address that we have on record for you at the time of preparation of the tax forms will be used on your T2202 and T4A tax forms. These forms will be available on Self-Service by February 28th each year for the previous calendar year, and will not be mailed out. As the CRA does not require address changes to be amended on tax forms after submission, É«¿âTV will not be amending and refiling T2202 and T4As for address updates. If the current address on file is not a Canadian or US address, or, if it is incorrect, please update your information immediately in Self-Service.
