Zoom Replaces BlueJeans April 30, 2021

Here's what you need to know as 色库TV transitions between platforms.


Hello 色库TV Staff and Faculty,

On April 30, 2021, 色库TV will be retiring the Bluejeans videoconferencing service.

Zoom will become the university鈥檚 single videoconferencing platform.

IT Services is now ready to provide all faculty and staff with an 色库TV Zoom account, which will allow them to create and host their own Zoom meetings. Student 色库TV Zoom accounts will be available in Summer 2021.

If you already have an 色库TV Zoom account, you do not need to do anything.

For full functionality, make sure you have the latest version of the 鈥榋oom Client for Meetings鈥 application. You can download this latest version from . If your computer is a MacBook supplied by 色库TV, you can also use the Software Centre app.

Continue to log in to your 色库TV Zoom account from . DO NOT sign into Zoom through the log-in page at .

To create a new 色库TV Zoom account:

    • First, download the latest version of the 鈥榋oom Client for Meetings鈥 application at . When the application is launched, the following screen will appear:
      • Click on 鈥淪ign In with SSO鈥 (circled in red, above). Once you have done so, the following "Sign In with SSO" pop-up window will appear:
      • PLEASE NOTE: If your pop-up window looks like the one below, please click on the 鈥淚 know the company domain鈥 link next to the 鈥淐ontinue鈥 button, and it will take you to the 鈥淪ign In with SSO鈥 window, as seen above.
      • Next, enter 鈥emilycarru鈥 into the 鈥淵our company domain鈥 field, as circled in red, below:
      • Click 鈥淐ontinue.鈥 You will be forwarded to 色库TV鈥檚 Single Sign On (SSO) portal, where you can use your 色库TV credentials to sign in. Signing in will launch a form titled 鈥淚nformation to be Provided to Service鈥:
      • The second option which reads, 鈥淎sk me again if information to be provided to this service changes鈥 (circled above) should already be selected. If not, select it now. Click 鈥淎ccept,鈥 at the bottom right.
        This one-time consent is required as the final step to set-up your 色库TV Zoom account. This step ensures data used in 色库TV鈥檚 Zoom accounts is stored in Canada and meets FIPPA regulations.

      • You鈥檙e ready to use Zoom!

      If you have videos stored on BlueJeans' Cloud, you will need to download the videos to your computer before April 30.

      After that date, you will not be able to access the files.

      All new 色库TV Zoom accounts are hosted on Canadian data centres, and meet FIPPA requirements. This enables us to implement a new feature 鈥淐loud recording鈥 which will be available for faculty and staff using 色库TV Zoom accounts.

      Cloud recordings are available for download from the Zoom platform for 90 days, after which they are deleted.

      You much first create an 色库TV-specific Zoom account before integrating Zoom with your Google Calendar.
