Carleen Thomas is an educator and former council member for the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. She was appointed by the Board of Governors and assumed the position of Chancellor of Emily Carr University on August 3, 2021. The formal installation comes at the beginning of her three-year term, which can then be renewed for another three years. Ms. Thomas is the first Indigenous person to hold this position at É«¿âTV.
