Ekphrasis brings together art works inspired work by other media. Three works by Phyllis Schwartz (2010), which were made at the Wallace Stegner House Residency (Eastend, Sask) will be included in this exhibition.

Primarily used as a literary term involving the vivid written description of a painting, Ekphrasis has occasionally been reversed to include paintings based on poetry or prose. Using this as our inspiration, we have on exhibit a more broadly themed show involving art across forms. In short, we have in this show art work that was inspired by different media. Ekphrasis will be on in the main gallery Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11 am to 4 pm until November 20th. There will also be a free Zoom opening for the show on Saturday October 15th at 7 pm; please RSVP using Eventbrite at
